Take ownership of discovery and design: identify friction, validate solutions and increase conversion with measurable results
This organization has a mature B2C e-commerce platform with a lot of traffic and a complex journey. There is a design system and data is used for optimization. User research is still limited, giving you the space to structurally set up issues such as discovery and A/B testing.
DISCOVERY AND PRIORITIZATION
You identify where users drop out or have doubts and where conversion opportunities lie. You formulate hypotheses and create a prioritized improvement agenda with success criteria. You discuss choices and trade-offs with stakeholders and ensure decision-making and follow-up.
DESIGN AND VALIDATION
You work from solution direction to prototypes and validate them with user testing. You provide ready-to-build, well-documented flows and also record the choices and considerations made so that everyone understands the rationale behind adjustments. After going live, you check the effect with data and make iterative adjustments.
DESIGN SYSTEM
You modernize interaction patterns and components within the design system. You monitor consistency, accessibility and clear information hierarchy so that improvements are scalable and repeatable.
The team you will be working in is responsible for both improving existing features and for the conceptual further development of the platform.
This largely relies on the knowledge and experience of the professionals in the team. You independently identify bottlenecks, initiate research where necessary and substantiate choices with data and validation.
The focus is on measurable results. You demonstrably work with funnel data, hypotheses and experiments, and evaluate impact improvements after going live.
You independently identify bottlenecks and conversion opportunities in the user journey and translate them into concrete improvement ideas. You substantiate prioritization with data, UX principles, user testing and stakeholder input. You make assumptions and considerations explicit and ensure that decisions are made and taken up quickly.
The focus is on improving results in the user journey. You use funnel data, hypotheses and experiments to test solutions and make choices. You define success criteria in advance, evaluate the effect after going live and make iterative adjustments based on results.
You not only deliver concepts, but also well-documented flows that developers can build immediately. You develop build-ready flows, including states and edge cases, and document choices and guidelines in the design system. You coordinate with development and ensure that the implementation matches the design intent. You translate learnings into next steps and improvements in patterns and components.

4+ years of experience for instance as a :Product DesignerUX/UI Designer(of wich at least 50% in Western countries with a high UX maturity, such as the Netherlands, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, UK, United States)
- Experience with e-commerce platform optimization
- Experimental experience (A/B or similar)
- Experience with design system development (patterns/components)
- You automatically take ownership
- You are both analytically and graphically strong
- You are comfortable interacting directly with stakeholders
- You communicate clearly and get people involved
- You can start on April 1 or May 1, 2026
